Huntimer named to Leadership Council
By Kate Johnson
Lexi Huntimer, Beulah, is the first North Dakota representative to earn a seat on the Pheasants Forever National Youth Leadership Council.
Lexi, 13 years-old and daughter of Randy and Amanda Huntimer, has been submerged in the Pheasants Forever Knife River Chapter since before she can remember. Her father Randy has been with the local chapter since 2012 and is also the president.
The youth leadership council is made up of 20 young people that span across the United States. It was formed in 2006 and considered to be one of the most proactive panels in the country.
Their mission is to develop youth leaders who can educate and are active in conservation.
Lexi is the first to hold a seat representing not only Mercer County but North Dakota as a whole.
