Lagoon repair to proceed

Test results show that Cell 1 of the Beulah sewage lagoon is leaking and will have to be repaired.

Councilman Darwin Reinhardt reported to the Beulah City Council that two of six samples submitted to Midwest Testing Laboratory of Bismarck were positive for leakage. One sample showed a leakage rate of more than 20,000 gallons per acre per day and the second sample was nearly 2.5 million gallons per acre per day. The first sample was from the north end of the cell and the second was from the northeast corner. A third sample from the south side of the cell passed. The other three samples were held for further testing.
