March to Mandaree honors fallen soldiers

Three hundred miles have been trekked so far on two men’s two-week journey across the state, and this week they’re getting closer to the final destination as they pass through Mercer County.
Sgt. Steve Fraase, Enderlin, began the march of 1.3 million steps from Wahpeton to Mandaree on June 17, and is doing it to honor members of his unit, the North Dakota Army National Guard’s 1/188th Air Defense Artillery, who died during their deployment to Afghanistan from 2005-2007
