Mercer County Board of Equalization denies Beulah

The County Board of Equalization met last week to hear from residents who felt their increase was too high, as well as to discuss whether or not to uphold the city of Beulah’s decision to limit their own increase.
Land Use/Tax Administrator Gary Emter said the cities of Zap, Beulah and Hazen had all held their local boards of equalization, and residents had been notified of any increases. He went on to explain the background of the current increases and issues that had arisen from them.
