Mercer County Fair starts Thursday
By Kate Johnson
The 45th Annual Mercer County Fair has arrived.
The county fair is the time to see the hardwork and dedication put into 4-H projects or the the time and patience put into their livestock. It is a time for kids and families to explore new worlds, whether that is through large and small livestock, science or even tackling their temporary fear of a ride.
It is a time to sing, dance and laugh.
The Mercer County Fair brings joy to the people and families who attend. That joy may come from an event or perhaps a food truck.
The fair starts off Thursday morning with FFA static exhibit entries and horse show registrations. Starting at 4 p.m. Thursday the Mighty Thomas Carnival will be set up and ready to ride. Beer gardens open soon to follow at 5 p.m. with The Johnny Holm Band kicking off fair weekend at 9 p.m.
