Meth lab busted in Beulah

Five people were charged with drug-related offenses after a final break led to the discovery of methamphetamine and materials used to manufacture the drug in a Beulah residence’s garage.

According to the sheriff’s department, the residence at 112 Fourth St. N.E. No. 15, Beulah, had been under surveillance by the Mercer-McLean Narcotics Task Force and Mercer County Sheriff’s Department for several months due to reports of drug activity at the residence. It was a phone call from a concerned Beulah citizen that spurred the final go-ahead to obtain a search warrant of the residence, Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Schmitt said.
