New and improved coal country
By Kate Johnson
Beulah’s Coal Country Community Health Clinic doubled in size and is serving area residents better.
With the expansion comes a more efficient, conducive work environment which more efficiently serves those in need.
With the expansion, CCCHC was able to designate an area within the clinic for mental health. CCCHC’s mental health professionals now have an office space and an area dedicated to work with groups within the clinic’s walls.
CCCHC Director Mary Michaelson said having mental health in the same building is a benefit to patients. Previously mental health was a block away. Providers did spend some time traveling between the locations. Now, mental health can be easily called to a patient’s room and quickly referred downstairs.
