By Chris Erickson
Sixty seniors walked across the gym floor for their last time this past Sunday before stating their final goodbyes to their academic careers at Beulah Public Schools.
Academic honors this year went to numerous students.
Those receiving Presidential Honors were: Ty Bauman, Victoria Brunner, Amber Hall, Morgan Mattheis, Kylie Scherer, Shawnee Unruh, Phillip Wolf, Jennifer Zastawniak.
Those receiving Honors were: Rachel Funkhouser, Maiya Gerde, Courtney Kemmet, Courtney Mitchell, Ty Schaper, Cole Solem and Leah Voigt.
Evan Mellmer, Connor Candrian and Alex D. Krebs all graduated with distinction. Each of the three gave a speech to mark the commencement ceremony. Mellmer spoke on the journey to graduation.
“This has been on incredible ride with an incredible class,” Mellmer commented. “Throughout the years we’ve discovered that the road is not going to be easy. There are going to be tough times. I was so scared to take pictures because I thought it was the worst thing ever. It would’ve been nice of my mom to tell me that your teeth actually come back after they fall out, even if it takes a little longer for some of us.
