STOP Violence Against Women provides training in Beulah
Sexual assault can be one of the most devastating crimes that can be perpetrated on a person. The victim not only suffers the physical and psychological affects of the attack, but they can also be victimized again and again by a legal infrastructure and society that aren’t equipped to deal with the aftermath of sexual assault.
To help those on the front lines of working with sexual assault victims, the Women’s Action and Resource Center and Beulah Police Department put together a sexual assault workshop for its staff and volunteers and law enforcement officers from Beulah and Hazen. The workshop was made possible by the STOP (Services, Training, Officers, Prosecutors) Violence Against Women grant program of the U.S. Department of Justice.
