Storm bends Beulah communications tower

A tower used for Beulah Police Department and Beulah City Hall communications was damaged by the severe winter storm that ravaged much of the state Jan. 20-25.

According to Beulah Police Chief Kennie Voegele, the 60-70-foot tower, which stands along the south side of Beulah City Hall, is about 10 feet shorter following the storm that produced strong winds and freezing rain. The top piece of the tower is still attached, Voegele said, and the tower remains functional.
