Storm day policy creates headache

When weather conditions are looking iffy regarding temperatures or road conditions, someone has to make the call of whether or not a school will delay its start, an advisory will be issued or a business will be closed early.
This process has proved challenging due to a lack of communication when it comes to the Mercer County Courthouse. During a meeting held Feb. 6, the county commissioners discussed the latest problems related to this decision-making.
“I guess what we got now is broken,” Commissioner Wes Gunsch said. “How are we gonna fix it?”
