Zap and Beulah continue to prepare for the worst case

Despite an improved flood forecast, communities along the Knife River and Spring Creek are continuing their flood fighting preparations just in case.

In Zap, the Army Corps of Engineers is working with the city to protect city infrastructure. A HESCO box dike is being built across a low spot along Spring Creek. The Corps is also sandbagging Zap’s two lift stations.
