A win for both offense, defense

It took 21 plays and nearly 13 minutes off the clock Friday but Beulah’s new offensive scheme proved it could find the end zone. After being shut out the first three games of the season, the Miners scored both offensive and defensive touchdowns to defeat Turtle Mountain 12-0 during Homecoming week celebrations.

The first quarter was dominated by the home team as Beulah had possession of the football twice with extended drives but no red zone appearances. But the second play of the second quarter appeared to end the streak with a 27-yard field goal attempt. Leighton Guthmiller’s kick veered wide to the left.
