Beulah falls short at regionals

Beulah entered the postseason knowing they would have a tough game. They faced off against Heart River, a team they bested 3-2 during the regular season, Monday night at the Region 7 tournament.
Beulah didn’t get the result they looking for at the tournament hosted by Dickinson Trinity.
Beulah lost 3-2: 25-16, 21-25, 18-25, 27-25 and 9-15.
Heart River was led by two players with double-digit kills: Afton Shypkoski (16) and Laken Jacobsen (12). Shypkoski also gave Beulah trouble at the serving-line with 4 aces.
Heart River’s defense was led by three players with double-digit kills – Shypkoski (20), Campbell Clarys (17), and Jacobson (13).
Beulah got a strong game from senior Phoebe Garman with 18 kills, 1 block, and 13 digs. Garman was the only Beulah player who reached double-digit kills during the game.
