Beulah picks up fourth win

By Jarann Johnson
Beulah started the season off with a bad showing against Shiloh. After suffering a loss they reeled off four straight wins to improve their record to 4-1 on the season.
Beulah’s win streak started with a dominant performance by senior Aaron Vallejo. Vallejo threw a 5-inning no-hitter with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk to start the winning streak against Washburn. Beulah also batted well during the game with 12 quality at-bats, which was roughly half of their batting appearances in the game.  The final score was 10-0.
Washburn showed up stronger in the nightcap with a 1-run first inning for an early lead, but Beulah matched the inning with  Mikey Morris stealing home. Once Beulah got the home mentum on their side they took off, scoring five runs in the bottom of the second to pull away.
