Beulah readys for big meet

By Jarann Johnson
Postseason cross-country started last week with regionals. The only thing a runner has to do to qualify for state is run at regionals but the meet is a great chance to see what runners and teams have a shot at doing damage at the state meet.
The Beulah boys took fourth overall and the Beulah girls took seventh. Both races had over 100 runners. The boys race had 109 and the girls race had 101.
Beulah had three varsity all-region selections at the Class B West Region meet in Bowman last week. The top boys’ runner for Beulah was Isak Olson. Olson earned all-region honors by finishing the 5K (3.1 miles) course in 18 minutes and 23.52 seconds, which is about 5:55-mile pace.
