Beulah role players start hot

By Jarann Johnson

Everyone has wondered if Beulah can survive a slow start from their standout players. Monday night Beulah’s top two scorers started slowly against Glen Ullin-Hebron.
But the supporting cast did their job hitting open shots and Beulah won 69-41, locking in a trip to the Region 7 semis.
Four minutes into the game Beulah fans were excited. Beulah standouts Jonah Larson and Trey Brandt hadn’t scored but the supporting cast sent a loud message to the rest of the region.
“You have to guard us too.”
Nate Battest hit two 3-pointers, then Dawson Zuroff hit a 3-pointer and Trapper Skalsky added a 3-pointer putting Beulah up 12-7. Zuroff added one more 3-pointer for a 15-7 Beulah lead.
Even though Beulah’s supporting cast started hot, Glen Ullin-Hebron found a way to stick around.
