Beulah survives Day 1 of elimination games

By Jarann Johnson
Beulah didn’t have the start they wanted at the Class A Region tournament in Watford City. They lost to Surrey despite being the top seed. But on Elimination Day 1 Beulah performed well topping the Minot Metros in a 12-0 laugher and topping Scobey 13-1 after trailing early on.
Chase Remboldt started the elimination game vs. Scobey. He was in a bit of trouble early. Scobey put runners on first and third with one out. But Beulah catcher Trey Brandt helped out by throwing out a base runner trying to steal second.
Remboldt prepared to finish his escape route by getting the third out of the inning but a balk resulted in Scobey scoring one run. After giving up the run Remboldt found his way out of the inning.
