Beulah wins I-94
While the temperature was rising, the bats were swinging in full force July 19-20 for the I-94 Babe Ruth tournament at Goldmann Field, Beulah. The winner of the two-day event, Beulah, earned a spot in a best-of-three play-in series to advance to the 13-15 Babe Ruth State tourney.
OPENING ROUND GAME
The first game of the tournament was an afternoon toaster between Beulah and Washburn. Temperatures were close to 100 degrees for most of the day and Washburn’s offense followed the pattern of the hot sun in the early innings of the game.
