Heat and Humidity do their damage
Running in heat is tough and running in humidity is also tough. When you put both factors together it’s even tougher. Last Saturday’s meet for the Hazen Beulah cross-country team had both and was all about making it through a tough course at Centennial Forrest in Jamestown.
The varsity boys team ran first on Saturday and took ninth place with two causalities. Brian Sitz sprained his ankle early in the race on an uneven patch when he tried to pass another runner. The other casualty, Aaron Hushka, had trouble breathing after the first mile and couldn’t continue.
