Miners blowout Pashall

By Jarann Johnson
Parshall scored the first two points of the game but didn’t have much else go right during the game. Beulah took over on their home floor last Friday and cruised to a 28-point win, 71-43.
Beulah had their way with Parshall in the first four minutes of the game. Parshall took an early 2-0 lead after two free throws from senior forward Billy Moran. Then Beulah went on 11-0 run to gain control of the game. Beulah senior starting point guard Derek Ferebee started the run with two inside baskets. Mason Dolbec, a Beulah senior forward, ended the run with a mid-range jumper and Parshal Head Coach Coby Rabbithead called a timeout to regroup.
Rabbithead’s regrouping effort didn’t work. Beulah kept control of the game and lead 19-9 at the end of the first. Beulah was also doing a great job on Moran. Moran, Parshall’s best player, only scored three points during the first quarter.
Moran figured out Beulah’s defense in the second quarter, getting a big two-handed dunk and scoring 8 points in the quarter. Moran’s strong quarter still wasn’t enough to cut Beulah’s lead down. Beulah went into the halftime break up 34-25.
