Miners top WWCS, play out east

By Jarann Johnson
Beulah had an exciting weekend ahead of them before their matchup with Washburn/Wilton/Center-Stanton. They were going to head east to face Thompson, Northern Cass, and New Rockford. Before they could think about eastern games they needed to take care of local business
Beulah did so, sweeping WWCS 18-0 and 10-5.
Beulah jumped on WWCS starter Trevor Schreiner early in the counter. Beulah senior Aaron Vallejo pushed Beulah ahead 1-0 with a 1-out double to center field. From that point things unraveled.
Schreiner hit two batters, walked two and gave up 5 more runs. Beulah’s first inning damage came from from four different players –  2-run double from Brayden Moore, 1-run single Trapper Skalsky, 1-run single Derek Ferebee. After the first inning, Beulah led 6-0.
