Olsen moved in at NDSU

Jayden Olson enjoyed basketball as a kid, watching his dad, Doug, coach Beulah high teams to the state tournament and even playing in three during his own high school years. Olson is still around the game and on the sidelines, but now as an assistant coach at North Dakota State University.
Doug Olsen was the patriarch of Jayden’s family and obviously influenced Jayden’s coaching career. But there are others who have helped Jayden on his way.
The list is an impressive roster of who’s who in North Dakota college basketball. Terry Olson gave Jayden a chance to be an assistant at Williston State.
At Williston State Jayden was given the task of recruiting, and he still recalls the great advice that Terry gave him.
“You’re going to attract the kind of people that you are. You’re going to attract a high quality and a good person. The kind of kids you want are going to be the kinds of kids that will attract to you,” Jayden recalled Terry telling him.
