Open weights sink wrestling at triangular tournament

Beulah-Hazen struggled at the Minot Ryan triangular going 0-2 in duals against Harvey-Wells County and Bishop Ryan last week. Beulah-Hazen didn’t field wrestlers in every class, which resulted in numerous forfeits and big holes to climb out of.
Bishop Ryan vs.
Keegan Henjum (Bishop Ryan) pinned Trysten Buchfinck (Beulah-Hazen) in 39 seconds at 285. The pin put Bishop Ryan up 6-0.
Adin Jungers (B-H) even the score by recording a pin in his match at 106. Jungers pinned Gatlin Ledoux (Bishop Ryan). Beulah-Hazen found themselves down one match later. Wesley Harvey (Bishop Ryan) pinned Mason Mellmer (Beulah-Hazen) in 52 seconds. Harvey’s pin put Bishop Ryan up 12-6.
Beulah-Hazen didn’t have any wrestlers at 120, 126, and 132, which gave Bishop Ryan 18 points and put them up 30-6.
Beulah-Hazen’s hopes for a comeback were dashed in the next three matches. Beulah gave up pins at 138, 145, 152 and 160 – which put them down 54-6 with five matches left in the dual. Beulah-Hazen forfeited at 170 and 195 but they made two highlights late in the match.
