Sago dominates at Carrington Invite

Beulah-Hazen went to Carrington last weekend for an early season tournament. Beulah-Hazen took 8th out of 14 teams at the tournament.
Kaden Sago (220) made quick work of the field. Sago won all three of his matches via pin. Sago’s first two pins were quick. He pinned Robert Lund (Bismarck) in 20 seconds then he pinned Preston Jones (Minot) in 14 seconds.
Sago’s championship match was more challenging but ended in the same result. Sago pinned Adam Morman (New Salem-Almont) in 1:29. Sago spent a total of 2:04 seconds on the mat at the Carrington tournament.
Beulah-Hazen also got a great showing from their sophomore at 170. Aaron Ripplinger started the 170-pound tournament with a bye. Then he pinned Grady Hornung (Pembina County North) in 1:16. Ripplinger found himself in the tournament semifinals. Lane Doll (New Salem-Almont) pinned Ripplinger in 4:44.
