Senior experience lights the path

Jared Seibel and Josh Schank are the only two upperclassmen on the Beulah boys golf roster this spring. And first-year head coach Jeremy Brandt knows he’s going to depend on them to guide the team that is mostly sophomores and freshmen.

In their first meets these past two weeks, Seibel has been steady as he opened the Watford City meet with a solid 81 April 25. Beulah kicked off with a fourth place out of 18 teams with a total of 339. Most of the other Miners scores averaged between 81-89.

"Jared and Josh have the returning experience. I don’t think any of those other kids have lettered (in golf) in the past. Mostly it was everybody’s first time out," Brandt explained of the meet.
