Two Miners win state titles

There’s a lot of events at the state track meet and it’s hard to win any. But last weekend two Beulah track athletes won state titles and helped the boys and girls teams finish in the top 10 at the state meet. The meet was held at the Bismarck Bowl.
Beulah started off the state track meet with a key event. The very first event at state was the 300-meter hurdles, an event with the chance of points for the girls. Tia Horning, a Beulah junior, earned sixth place in the prelims with a time of 48.70 seconds.
Beulah’s next event with a chance to make finals was the 4x200 meter relay. Beulah’s boys advanced to finals taking eighth place. Ethan Johnson, Tryston Miller, Kaleb McGraw, and Johnnie Brown combined for a time of 1:33.97, which was a season-best time.
