Walcker’ed to bed
Casey Walcker rocked the Bison to bed. The freshman reserve forward chipped in 14 points helping the Miners secure a victory over their Highway 200 rivals. Walcker’s play inside was critical because of early foul trouble that Noah Iverson, Beulah senior forward, encountered.
The big-time rivalry game didn’t have a big time start. The scoreboard read 0-0 with 5:26 left in the first quarter when the Miners exploded to an 11-2 lead with 1:05 left in the opening quarter. Collin Maas, junior guard, keyed Hazen’s comeback effort to tie the game.
