Two individuals were arrested and charged June 23 in Center on drug related charges after a search warrant was executed by the Oliver County Sheriff’s Department. Two other individuals were arrested at the same time when their vehicle was stopped at another location in the city.
Maude Gullickson, lifelong Oliver County resident, saddled up one last time Saturday when she became the first woman to be inducted into the Rodeo Division of the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Campers looking for a getaway can still find solace at the Cross Ranch State Park. Park Manager Eric Lang said the Sanger campground just south of the park’s visitor center has 15 tent spots and seven electrical sites still available to the public.
The city of Center is looking for a location to build a storage yard for junk and towed vehicles. The Oliver County Sheriff’s Department would like a secured location for impounded vehicles.
