The State Equalization Board has ruled. Oliver County real estate taxes will increase 2 percent on all structures within the rural area. This does not include the cities in the county. Oliver County Tax Director Jacky Schulte said the state board’s final decisions were made at the end of September.

The safe taken in a burglary at the Square Butte Creek Golf Course Aug. 30 has been found.

Two Oliver County landowners disputing over a quarter-line road have asked the County Commission to help solve the problem. The road was built on land owned by one landowner, but used by the other to access his farmstead.

The Center City Council agreed to set a reward of 10 percent of the cost of vandalism damage with a cap of $1,000 for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for damage to city park property. This reward also includes the recent burglary at the city-owned Square Butte Creek Golf Course Clubhouse.
