Annual Easter Egg Hunt full of ‘egg-citement’
By Annette Tait
Chilly temps didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the children gathered on the courthouse lawn for the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Oliver County Ambulance Association and sponsored by the Center Community Club. Youngsters dressed in warm coats, caps, and mittens or gloves were hopping up and down in excitement, waiting for the go-ahead to gather the plastic eggs tucked into tree branches and scattered on the lawn.
The hunt was over almost as soon as it started, with the eggs scooped up in bags and children lined up to eagerly trade their stashes for a goodie bag, cookie, and a beverage served up by members of the ambulance squad.
The free annual event is yet another way in which OCA and the Community Club give back to the people of Center and Oliver County.
