Center FFA hit National Convention
Among them were the eight Center FFA officers: Megan Schwalbe, Danny Henke, Holly Boyd, Tristina Hintz, Ty Bornemann, Logan Staigle, Shawn Heilman and Tanner Berger.
“Ignite,” the theme for this year’s convention, was geared toward individual leadership, growth and success. It also seeks to challenge FFA members to think about how they can “ignite today and the future.”
With a wide variety of educational seminars scheduled for the duration of the week, participants had the opportunity to fuel their passion for agriculture, education and leadership. Chapter advisors also had the chance to gather new ideas and materials to incorporate into their classrooms by attending their own development sessions.
In addition to the leadership development opportunities available, more than 450 industry exhibitors attended as part of the National FFA Expo, providing students with the opportunity to discover new agricultural careers, as well as explore post-secondary job training and educational opportunities.
The Center FFA team was given the opportunity to attend a Louisville Cardinal basketball game to watch coach Rick Pitino lead his team to an opening season victory against Kentucky Wesleyan.
