Center graduate is ‘Karibou’ in Kenya
Traveling more than 8,000 miles with a group of 10 unfamiliar people to a foreign country might sound scary to most, but a Center High School graduate made the trek and is more than happy with his overall experience.
Mike Henke, 20, Center, traveled out of the country for the first time June 6-18 to Kenya, Africa, on a mission trip. He became interested in the trip when he saw a poster at his church, St. Peter’s Lutheran Missouri-Synod Church, Hannover. He was the only member of the church and the Center area that went on the mission trip.
