Changes underway at Main Street Auto

By Annette Tait
Customers at Main Street Auto are going to be seeing a lot more of Shawn Theurer these days. In the past, Theurer spent most of his time in the shop working on vehicles. Now, as manager of the business, he’s taken on the additional responsibilities that come with that role.
“I’m used to being here already, so that part’s pretty much the same as it has been,” he said. “Maybe a little more stress, though.”
Theurer has already begun to make some changes, including adding tools and computer diagnostics, and working with Larry Erhardt to provide tire service.
“Shawn’s brought in some more advanced tools, got some new computers to work on vehicles with, and added more supplies for the tires,” Erhardt said.
Main Street Auto offers computer diagnostics, tune-ups, maintenance checks, oil changes, brake jobs, and various other repair services.
“We can change everything from batteries to engines,” Theurer said. “We can work on tires -- we have a tire machine and balancer, and we can fix flats.”
Business hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, “and I’m usually here earlier than that,” Theurer said. If needed, he is also willing to make some appointments on Saturdays.
