Conservation characters teach lessons with laughs
Pete Bogg, Darin Ewe and Sam Ting delivered conservation lessons that felt more like fun Monday at Center-Stanton High School. Bogg, Ewe and Ting are characters developed by Tom Gibson, a conservation educator from Bottineau.
The first show, for kindergarten through third graders, featured Pete Bogg and his amazing water machine. As Bogg spun his tale of how people unthinkingly or unknowingly affect the water supply, he added a drop or two of food coloring to his water sample each time someone in his story introduced pollutants into the water. It didn’t take long for the water to appear dark and murky.
