CSPS board prepares for 2013-2014 school year

The Center-Stanton Public Schools board elected officers and made portfolio assignments July 23 during its first meeting of the 2013-2014 school year.
Cindy Berger was elected president; Loren Henke was elected vice president. Portfolio assignments are as follows: Budget Committee: Berger and Aaron Rudningen, Buildings/Grounds/Transportation: Jim Wahlman and Henke, Negotiations/Personnel: Rudningen and Berger, Extracurricular Activities: Stacey Olander and Henke, Curriculum/Policy: Wahlman and Olander, Hot Lunch Hearing Officer: Berger, Oliver/Mercer Special Ed: Berger, primary; Henke, alternate, Great Western Network (ITV): Superintendent Curt Pierce, primary; Rundingen, alternate, Missouri River Educational Cooperative (MREC) Board: Olander, Career & Technology Education (CTE) Advisory Board: Wahlman, School Improvement: Rudningen.
