EMDR therapy available
By Jerick Tafoya
A new therapy known as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is now being provided at Coal Country Community Health Center in Beulah. EMDR therapy is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain.
Behavioral health providers Melissa Herman and Talitha Schneidt attended an extensive training program and will now be able to completely share what they learned with patients.
Herman, a licensed clinical social worker, and Schnaidt, a licensed counselor, took part in the training in Boulder, Colo. to become licensed to offer EMDR therapy.
