Family means the most to Steffensons
Oliver County roots run deep for the Richard and Shirley Steffenson family. Richard’s family homestead was settled in the 1890s near the old Price store along the railroad tracks and the Missouri River.
Running just as deep is the interest in family genealogy and Price/Sanger area history, evident by the 2-inch thick three-ring binder Richard, now 86, began creating in 2004. The binder holds not only family information and photos, but also that of the towns that were so important to homesteading families back in those early years.
