Graduation ceremony plan update

Center-Stanton 2020 graduates didn’t think it would end like this. Most of them thought their senior year would feature a graduation ceremony like the countless ones before theirs. But COVID-19 struck and things changed.
Even with all of the changes, Center-Stanton Superintendent Tracy Peterson is still trying to give students the sendoff they deserve. Peterson said the goal for Sunday’s graduation ceremony is to be as close to normal as possible.
“Center-Stanton is trying to have this be as close to normal as we can with students being able to give their valedictorian, salutatorian, honors speeches and welcomes,” Peterson said.
Ticket limits for the ceremony were extended to 10 per family. Peterson said each family pod will be spaced out in the gym according to guidelines set by the Governor.
