Great River Energy concrete donation benefits Center-Stanton Schools

Center-Stanton Public School District’s back parking lot has received a much-needed improvement thanks to Great River Energy’s donation of concrete to pave the parking lot by the north doors. The cooperative donated 67 cubic yards of concrete for the project.
“The back parking lot has been a bit of a mud hole and not used for much other than primarily parking our spare buses,” Center-Stanton Public School Superintendent Curt Pierce said.
The new concrete will help relieve water issues that previously plagued the parking lot, and also provide easier access to the gymnasium for community members who have difficulty walking the distance from the front parking area. The new paved area also provides more convenient parking for school vehicles.
“We can now add four accessible parking spots for our patrons who have a difficult time walking from the front of our school to the gymnasium,” Pierce said. “It should be a tremendous benefit we can offer our patrons who attend athletic contests, concerts and other events in our gym.”
