June vote by mail election process

COVID-19 has made us have to rethink everything from grocery shopping to graduation ceremonies. Now, the virus is affecting the voting process. Oliver County and Center residents will be voting by mail in the June Primary Election.
Oliver County Auditor Judith Hintz said this election was going to be different because Oliver County was dropping from three polling places to one polling place before the COVID-19 outbreak started. The virus has caused the lone polling place to be closed for the election.
“We were going to be vote-by-mail anyway. We were going to be vote-by-mail. We weren’t going to have our three polling places that we originally had. We were going to have one polling place open and it was going to be at the courthouse,” Hintz said.
