Line break causes water shut-off at Center-Stanton high school

A water service line break April 4 required the cold water supply at Center-Stanton High School to be shut off for about 24 hours. Service lines are the pipes that connect the city’s water main to the customer’s home, business or other structure.
“Water was coming up through a seam in the asphalt three-quarters to an inch high,” CS Public Schools superintendent Curt Pierce said. He notified the city and water was shut down around 2 p.m.
