N. Dakota chosen to pilot new EMS training standards

North Dakota was chosen by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians to pilot new recertification requirements for EMTs, advanced emergency medical technicians and paramedics.
“We really feel quite honored that the National Registry chose us as the pilot state,” State Emergency Medical Services and Trauma training coordinator Ed Gregoire said. “Changes in training requirements have been needed for quite some time—this is one of the largest changes in EMS since its inception.”
