ND 81st Civil Support team – always there

As civilians, we don’t often think about who will be there in case of a serious disaster. We know 911 will be called and someone will come.
We assume that “someone” will be local law enforcement agencies, and that’s true. Local agencies have emergency training for most situations, including mass casualty incidents. But who do our local agencies call for expert assistance when it comes to a serious incident, such as biological, chemical, radiological, nuclear and explosive assistance?
They call the North Dakota National Guard 81st Civil Support Team, specialists in weapons of mass destruction response.
