Oliver County road sites hit hard by winter and lot of floodwater

There are more than 700 sites in need of road repair in Oliver County, according to Road Supervisor Bruce Nelson. Oliver County Commissioners heard the report at the May 7 meeting held in Center.

Road superintendent Bruce Nelson reported that the washout on a county road in northwestern Oliver County has been temporarily repaired and traffic is moving along that road. He estimated that he and his crews have marked the damages sites in need of road repair, and they still have about 25 percent of the county left. Nelson is working with engineers from Kadmas, Lee and Jackson and also is in contact with Federal Emergency Management Agency personnel.
