Homecoming was not very sweet for the Center-Stanton football team. Two early fumbles Friday night quickly turned into a 62-8 track meet as Beach claimed the Region 6 action. The loss moved the Wildcats to 0-6 with two games left in the season.

Sometimes the scoreboard is not an entirely accurate depiction of how the game went. Although the final score pitted New Salem with the District 9 victory last Thursday, the Center-Stanton volleyball team could smile at their moral victory.

After spending a year as Hazen’s primary setter last season, Payton Borud is finding her transition to middle hitter is paying off this fall. The senior collected five kills in last week’s action as the Bison swept Center-Stanton 3-0.
