Basketball Update

The Center-Stanton girls improved to 4-4 on the season last week and the boys ended the week still looking for their first win of the season.
The boys headed to the McLean County tournament but didn’t come away with a win. The boys were close in their neutral court battle with Warwick, falling by 11 points.
At the end of the first period the game was tied 8-8, then Warwick gained a small edge and led by one point at halftime, 23-22. The third quarter is where Center-Stanton lost contact with Warwick, a Region 4 team.
The Center-Stanton offense was held to eight points and Warwick scored 25 points during the same frame. Warwick’s monster quarter put them up 48-30 heading into the fourth quarter.
Center-Stanton battled back, but it was too late. They fell 57-46.
