Dakota Bowl Preview

The Dakota Bowl represents the ultimate stage of high school football in North Dakota. This Friday eight teams will meet for state championship battles in the Fargodome. Read a quick preview of all the championship games.
West Fargo comes into the 3A championship with an undefeated record and simmering offense. West Fargo averaged 400 plus yards of offense this season. The offensive line has paved the way for 205 rushing yards per game and held up in the passing game to reach 200 yards per game.
The key to West Fargo’s strong offense has been senior quarterback Andy Gravdahl. Gravdahl, a senior QB, has rushed for 450 yards and passed for 1943 – which is 217 yards per game.
If Minot wants to win this game they are going to have to figure out how to make Gravdahl one-dimensional. Joe Pistorius (699 receiving yards, 6 TDs) and Alex Sell (669 rushing yards 13 TDs) are also strong offensive players for West Fargo.
Minot doesn’t have a strong offense, only scoring 26.8 points per game. But they do have a strong defense. The Minot defense only allowed 16.9 points per game this year.
