Dance show hits Center Saturday

The Center-Stanton Centations have invited area high school and Just for Kix dance teams to Center Dec. 6 for a "HomeShow." It’s a time for the teams to perform for the fans at the Center-Stanton High School gym starting at 2:30 p.m. CST.

Teams attending this show are Dickinson High Midgettes, St. Mary’s Junior High Saintiques, Century High Centahnas, Glen Ullin-Hebron High Kickin It Dance team, Bismarck South Just for Kix, Hazen Just for Kix, as well as the Center Just for Kix teams.

Concessions will be served. Doors open to the public at 2 p.m. CST. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for 12 and under and 5 and under are free. As of Monday, there were 22 scheduled performances by the teams mentioned above.

High school teams will have the added bonus of getting valuable comments from two dance judges that can help them with their routines in the upcoming dance invitational season.

Centations coach Nicole Albers planned this show based on the Century Centahnas "Showcase," Nov. 22.

"They run a great show there, its just a bit early for Class B teams, especially those who have extended volleyball seasons," she said. "I had hoped we would get more Class B teams, but we ended up with Class A teams too, which is great! It just opens up our sport even more by them coming to Center. Getting that extra judge comment is vital at this point in the year."
