Injuries plague hockey’s first week

The Hazen-Beulah boys hockey team was hoping to come out of the opening weekend starting the season off on a good foot. And after two long road trips, their feet were about the only thing that ended up well. Three players were injured last Saturday as the North Stars cruised to a 4-1 win over Wahpeton for non-conference hockey action.

Although head coach Mark Schmitt acknowledged the game was physical, he dismissed any idea of too rough a play leading the the injuries.
